Do Squirrels hibernate?
i see like 5 squirrels near my yard running around, dont they hibernate?

I save acorns for the winter, and I sure as HELL hibernate. Somebody just prodded me with a stick and handed me a laptop because its Christmas.

To answer your question, yes squirells hibernate. Why they have not in your area I dont know... any nuclear reactors where you live?

My neighborhood is full of squirrels that run around on rooftops chasing each other and making funny noises. It gets rather loud at times...

No they don't.
Atleast not in Finland. You rarely notice them at winter becaus of the changed colour of their fur, but they're very much around thru the whole year. |

I have seen squirrels busily eating their stored nuts all through winter except for maybe a few weeks over Christmas when I have not been watching squirrels :P
